Christ the solid rock

This piece is unashamedly thought provoking.

It is a combination of the cross of Christ, the stone rolled away from the tomb (which confirms His resurrection), the strength of the Church and its foundation.

The cross being made of steel and the crown of thorns being made of barbed wire is just as confronting as when the crucifixion took place over 2,000 years ago.

The stone weighs 850KG combined with the steel, this piece weighs nearly a tonne. The stone has been chiselled by hand to embed the cross. Ideally, “Christ the solid rock” will be a statement piece, wherever it ends up. This is an acknowledgement of Christian faith and the One who changed the timeline on this earth.

...and on this rock I will build my church
