Darwin

This beautiful Green Sea turtle has been named with some special ties to loved family members who have lived and were raised in the Northern Territory of Australia. Consultation of Darwin was undertaken with the Rangers from Mon Repos, a marine education centre/conservation park in the Bundaberg region of Queensland. He has been painstakingly made with careful attention to each feature and reworked until he emerged as the magnificent work he is. Proudly displayed on his plinth (a nod to moored items at sea), he would be a magnificent installation in any location. His shell has been formed from plough disks, his head, legs and tail from Corten steel and his belly is stainless steel. All the visible welds are also stainless steel. Darwin has taken six months of full time effort to produce and that is evident in the likeness and quality finish. If he has captured your heart, contact us for purchase information.
